Description
I did the concept for this work in ZBrush plus a little bit of sketching in Photoshop. Then I did the final sculpt in ZBrush and the retopo + UVs in Maya. For the clothing, I have used marvelous designer. The final UVs for the clothing were done in Maya.
For doing the pose I've figured out a fast way where I can still use marvelous designer for simulation but without losing my texture UVs done in Maya. For establishing this I created two UV sets in Maya, one with the original MD uvs and one with proper uvs for texturing. Once I did the posing in ZBrush I imported the posed mesh into marvelous as a morph target. Then I exported the posed cloth mesh out of Marvelous into Maya. In Maya I have used the Transfer attributes Tool to copy the vertex positions of the posed Mesh to the Mesh with the Texture UVs by using the MD UV-Set as Sample Space.
